Pluto Design Studio was founded in 2015 from Vouli Papapavlou, graphic designer, graduate of Vakalo School of Arts. The name of the studio originates from mythical god Pluto, the ruler of the underworld, aka Hades. According to mythology, there was a cave in Kolonos, through which the dead descended to Hades. The god of Hades, Pluto, who had fallen in love with Persephone, daughter of the goddess Demeter, abducted her from the relics of Mount Etna and carried her on his chariot to the Colonus of Attica, lowering her to his bride in Hades, through his deep cave Kolonou, which Sophocles calls "a copper road".
